“Differential” is made of black walnut. It has free rotation on its steel base and has been fixed upon its balance point. The two “geared forms” are measurably correct in their geometry. Their separation from eachother is linked by a free-form elastic connection, that if imagined in it's fluidity, would return the gears to their interlocking mesh.
