This solid burl is made of Camphor wood from Thailand. The popular, highly aromatic camphor oil is extracted from this wood, however the strong scent is no longer present after sealing with finishing oil. The intersting shape I've created represents nothing in particular, but is merely an attractive sciulptural object that is fun to explore.
