Sycamore wood has a beautiful scaled grain when "quarter sawn", as this sculpture demonstrates. This scaly appearance hints at a fish-like sculpted form. The two pieces are cut from the same timber and are joined using long, hardened steel pins that are precisely drilled. The base is lathe turned from a piece of steel, giving weight needed for perfect stability.

16.5 inches tall, 7.5 inches wide.
