An Australian Red Mallee burl was used for the main wood on this piece, being cut in half and opened like a book. The wood was arranged so its natural outer edges face each other and an Australian Banksia Seed Pod was placed in the gap. Blue and Violet dyed epoxy with pearl mica powder were added, filling the gap. The wood finished used is high-gloss acrylic urethane with non-yellowing qualities and UV absorption properties. The firmly fastened base is made of stainless steel.

13" tall, 15.5" wide, 3.75" deep.
