Evening of the Sixth

Please click on the images for a more detailed view.

Evening of the Sixth” is sculpted from a single mass of black walnut wood and mounted to a  Brazilian granite base, representing earth by its colors.

As the pinnacle and finality of all of God's creative work, this sculpture captures the creation of the woman, mid process in the story of Eden. This is why she is only about one-third complete. The interfering movements of Eve's hand and hair suggest the completion of her absent-sided figure. There are numerous other details worth pointing out in the story and sculptural theory expressed here. Please contact me for more information.
