"Mitre Up" is inspired by early agriculture machinery. The backbone is California Redwood from a 100 year old barn in northern Illinois. When cutting and sanding the wood, the smell of cattle is obvious. The oak wood in the base is also from this barn. The drive cogs represent an early method of shaft power transfer, and early straight-tooth bevel gears whose shafts aligned at 90 degrees were called "mitre gears". The steel base is made of 1/2" wall pipe with blacksmithing rivets. Stands 25.5" tall, 8" wide, 7.5" deep and rotates freely upon the base.
