Laminated birch wood, dyed grey and purple. This sculpture looks much more purple in real life. Its time to purchase a new camera. 
This is one of my more complex executions of sculptural form using this wood. The surfaces within the very tight gaps are well sanded and finished, My intention is to leave no evidence of how it was made, looking as though it was stretched into shape.
