Borrowing from the design of thorn defended small seed pods and floral buds against predators, this sculpture gives the appearance of protecting something at its core. Hidden within is a device intended to aid the job of protecting, and is known historically for "leveling the playing field" between tyrants and the vulnerable -or criminals and the vulnerable.  A beautiful balance of delicacy in form and power in function, "Protected Pod" is truly one of a kind in the world of fine art, and a very timely response to the always present but currently elevating confiscatory will of world rulers.  Power to the people -the true determinists of fine art and personal destiny.
