Pyramaze

Please click on the images for a more detailed view.

“Pyramaze” is made of translucent orange Utah alabaster (technically not a stone).  This amazing material only exists as a thin vein within the Utah mines where it’s found, and is rarely found thicker than about four inches.  “Pyramaze” has a warm translucent eminence when light comes from behind.  The base is made of polished black granite, which once served as large paneling for a bank in Chicago that was built about a century ago.
