This abstraction of an internal ring and pinion gearset uses Australian Red Gum burl wood, with its natural voids filled with blackened epoxy. The pinion gear is maple, and the spiral bevel gear is made of blue ash. Its a great tabletop or desk piece, standing 9" high and 13" wide.
