The title, "Ring & Pinion" refers to a basic geartrain scenario used for speed reduction and/or increased torque. The Ring is made of cherry wood, the Pinion is osage orange wood, and the hex-head cap screw is puple heart wood. This very stable sculpture is mounted to an aluminum base. "Ring & Pinion" looks great on a desk, coffee table, end table, or pedestal.  Stands 11 inches tall.
