The fruit of the Banksia tree in Australia is a large flowery mass, that when drops its pedals it leaves behind a solid wood-like pod that contains the tree's seeds.  I will producing a series of these smaller sculptural objects, which are generally 2 to 3 inches in diameter and 8 to 12 inches tall.  This one stands 8" tall, including its black marble base.
