Aquatic and botanic life forms are my inspiration behind this sculpture.

I've sculpted this form several times from different colored woods. Like all my sculptures, they are shaped by free-hand sculpting. I do not measure or direct duplicate at all. The wood is made of many thin layers of dyed birch wood. I made the base from solid steel on a lathe, and firmly supports the sculpture. Acrylic urethane with UV blocking properties coats the sculpture.

22" tall, 10" wide, 4.5" deep.
