I had never sculpted a burl from a pine tree until now. Actually, I have never even seen a burl on a pine tree! This wood is quite heavy and its pearl-like dreamsicle appearance shows greater color than my photographs offer. The wood also exhibits a gorgeous pearlescence in light. The sculpture stands 13 inches tall on it's marble base.
