Red River Gum Burl

Please click on the images for a more detailed view.

Red River Gum trees grow along the Red River in Australia. Burl growths develop under water and have the look of coral. The voids in them are part of their development, and aren't from insect infestation or decay. The wood is heavy and hard. The black base and ornamental feature is blacksmithed steel, serving as an armature for the wood, while hiding the fasteners.  Stands 15" tall, 15" wide, 12" deep. AVAILABLE
