Redwood burl
Please click on the images for a more detailed view.
The seven candle Menorah is the original Judaic symbol, representing the seven Jewish feasts. The main wood used in this piece is Redwood, and is a complete burl throughout. The adorning top piece is a lathe-turned banksia seed pod from Australia, infused with colored epoxy resin and mica powder. The small flames are maple burl and colored epoxy resin. The supporting base is dyed maple burl. The two brass legs are hollow with heavy screws inserted from the bottom for firm support. The lines on this piece are very sharp and precise, but are intentionally formed without specific geometry or measurement.
13.5" tall, 24" wide, 5" deep. $2,500
