Catalpa trees are often referred to as Cigar Trees. They produce long, slender beans that look like giant cigars. This sculpture is a collaboration with a good friend, Yalan McCullough. I gave him a chainsaw, and angle grinder, and nice piece of Catalpa wood and several hours later he handed me this excellent shape. The choice of lines upon the sculpture was our collaborative effort. Signed with both our names.
